HELLO AGAIN EVERYBODY! I WANTED TO START OFF WITH AN APOLOGY!!!!!! SOOOOOOORRRRRRRYYYYYY I HAVENT BEEN POSTING! CAN I SAY… BUSY LIFE!
This next recipe I saw on one of my favorite food shows “The Pioneer Woman” I love Ree Drummond (you can find her on Food Network @ 1:00 pm). As soon as I saw this recipe I thought of my littlest brother! I do babysit him once and awhile, and involve him in really fun and creative things. Last week I baked my version of the best chocolate chip muffins with him. Most of the time he likes to smash, break, run, and jump all day, but when I can find an activity for him to do with me it’s a win win! I am always being careful of the sharp and hot things when I am cooking with him. Now, here is one of my favorite snack time desserts of all time, inspired by Ree Drummond! I would like to introduce you to the: PANINI ELVIS SMASH
-Nutella (enough to spread over one slice of bread)
-Marshmallow Fluff (you are going to think I’m crazy!) (enough to spread over one slice of bread)
-Peanut Butter (enough to spread over one slice of bread)
-1 Sliced Banana (preferably cut the same width of the others to make the sandwich even)
-2 pieces of Sourdough Bread
-2 Tablespoons of butter to spread on the outside of both sides of the bread
- spread the Nutella onto half of the slice of sourdough bread.
2. spread the PB (peanut butter) onto the other half of the bread. Then place the evenly sliced bananas onto the half with Nutella.
3. Place the buttered bread onto the 350 degrees Panini press. Press the Panini top and let it grill for about 3-5 minute. (If you do not have a Panini press you can also do it on a griddle.)
4. slice in half with a serrated knife. Serve hot. ENJOY!!!!
If you butter one side of the bread, and then put that side on the griddle. Then butter the other side while it is on the griddle…… it makes it a lot less messier!
Here is the other version of the Panini with strawberries which is my favorite FROM Ree Drummond:
USE THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF EACH INGREDIENT JUST WITH THE NEW INGREDIENTS!
